Amazing food, especially the tagliollini with ragu. Great service, nice views over the Langhe Hills. The restaurant is usually full, so book in advance. Highly recommend it!!!

This is a 5 stars! From the moment you arrive to the last sip of coffee or digestive. Food is delicious, well presented and savory! I had the menu degustacion with the best panacotta ever!!! It's a must go!

What more is there to say other than that the classics are most obviously classics for a very good reason. This was a fantastic experience with traditional cuisine and a wine list the size of a Bible. Any visitor to the region owes it to themselves to stop here and take in the atmosphere while enjoying the traditional foods of Piedmont

Bovio, and Belvedere before, was the top traditional restaurant in Langa. “Was” because Bovio will close in a week as it will be taken over by someone who owns a sad restaurant with a sad chef with a sad menu (check the photos). Unfortunately these days most of the “Master Chef generation of clientele” prefer unconventional pairings which help hiding the incapacitated chef skills. There are few and there will be fewer places to go and eat proper local food. Please feel free to go and enjoy your nori tajarin and tofu tonnato and season everything with ginger and Ponzu wherever you want but do not contribute to the depletion of the original gastronomic culture of a nation like Italy I have little hope in finding something that comes close to Bovio but I cherish the moments spent there. Great local traditional place. High quality food. Huge selection of wines (browsing through the wine list is like browsing through Wikipedia). Splendid service. Magnificent view towards Langhe wine yards. Bottom line - a must place to visit! We had veal tonatto with tuna sause (a bit too simple), veal tartar with Parmigiano flakes and dark truffles (delicious), tart of porcini mushrooms on fondue, ravioli stuffed with meat, vegetables and beef sauce (extraordinary!), duck foie gras terrine with figs, red onion jam and ginger (tasty), tagliolini with salsiccia di Bra (delicious), braised veal jowl in Barolo wine sauce (truly delicious), soft egg with mushrooms on Raschera cheese cream/fondue (unnecessary), and 3 typical local deserts, out of which Panna cotta was a true jewel. Not an inexpensive place, yet very good value for money. Very much recommended! Recommend to reserve ahead.

What an amazing restaurant. The location, the view, the atmosphere is beautiful and lively. But the most amazing part is the food, the wine and the service. The staff is so friendly and down to earth, the food is local and cared for(try the white truffle dishes!) and their wine list is the same size as an old bible😁 I’m definitely coming back here.
